What an adventure!

Melbourne’s unpredictable weather couldn’t dampen the Subbies' spirit, with the team coming away with a hard-earned trophy.  Hot conditions meant the first day of competitive racing was cancelled, with Sunday being threatened with rain, wind and lightning.

After an early wrap-up thanks to the weather, Club President Jack commandeered a dragon boat for a paddle around Docklands, turning a setback into a fun time. Subbies managed to score food & drink from some unsuspecting tourists on the water and then challenged a young team featuring some Aurora paddlers to a race. Three 200m races – one win each followed by a decider – had the young team narrowly clinching the win!
